Did anyone else notice that Facebook became unusable and slow right around the same time they enabled Facebook chat?

It would be nice if they'd turn off that useless feature and make it so loading Facebook pages doesn't take 45 seconds or more...

is it disabled if you use the NoScripts addon? I have facebook globally allowed as you can't post on walls and stuff without scripts on, but you may be able to disable just that script.
