I know LJ is not, and probably never will be, what it was ten years ago, but it still offers an outlet for longer-form, mixed-subject waffling that nowhere else can really

Indeed, LJ remains where I feel comfortable - the community is certainly smaller than it once was, yet, for all that, I still spend much the same amount of time replying to folk. That said, there are a couple I really do miss, like Jessie, but so it goes - most of the missing tended, I think, to post only quite brief ditties, and they've now found Twitter more suited to their ways. Myself, I much prefer LJ's non-bitesize entries, let alone technical aspects like multiple icons, threading, and per-entry security. Post away! ^_^
