A fantastic Worcester ponymeet

PublicThis weekend's twice-monthly Worcester ponymeet was one of the best I can remember. On a lovely warm day, there was a good turnout: apart from me we had Pigasus, Patrick, Ialyrn, Shutterbug, Dodj, Thunder Splitter, Oilyvalves, CuldeeFell and Gyroprodius. Some of us met up around 90 minutes before before the 2pm start of the meet proper and ( Read more... )

Mmm, black bean sauce. =:9 I need to do more with that - I just seem to be in thrall of oyster sauce, so fiendishly flexible, whether as a main event, or an enhancement in Bolognese or a stir-fry. =:9 (The trick is to get the "real" stuff, like Panda's obligingly gooey stuff from (sadly) Tesco, rather than the usual "cook-in sauce" stuff available everywhere that's good for one or two meals ( ... )

Might it be worthwhile trying to encourage some of them into participating in LJ?

I've mentioned LJ, but no-one seems all that interested. It's been acheivement enough getting some of them to post on a forum rather than just SnapTwitBook and the like! =:P

I have to say, I've been very pleased with this series of Pony.

It's been a little up and down for me. There are episodes I've loved: "A Hearth's Warming Tail", "The Saddle Row Review" and of course "Flutter Brutter". None I actually hated, though the premiere was probably the weakest of all six season-openers for me, and "Applejack's 'Day' Off" didn't really hit the spot either.

On the other hoof, I've seen the titles and synopses for the next few episodes, and they all look potentially fantastic. I'm especially looking forward to next Saturday's edition! =:D

We were going to do some lawnmowing, but Flames opens onto the street so we'd have had to mow the pavement weeds instead. =;P

Hey, I can't always remember all the names, and I'm a meet regular! And no, the money all went on food. This was a national emergency!

Ooh, I'll have to try Flames next time I pay a visit to my old home city!

Well, like I said, don't expect any miracles. I don't have particularly high standards when it comes to eating out, and there are plenty of better places in Worcester city centre alone. Frankly I'd have happily spent the afternoon in McDonald's for this company. But for such a low price, I'm satisfied with what I ate. It didn't make me ill, anyway. =:P
