Back from my trip to see my granny, who I'm pleased to report is in good spirits and good form. =:) I didn't do anything terribly thrilling during my stay, since that wasn't the point, but I did fit in three ice creams (a mango, a mint Cornetto and a good old 99). Hmm. I suppose that doesn't quite count as a Cornetto trilogy.. =:)

There's a pony 'zine? I presume it's firmly aimed at what Hasbro originally thought was its audience? ^_^

I did have that thought, actually! =:D

And yes, you're right: the magazine is very much for kids -- I don't buy it unless there's a good gift. You can usually find it in larger branches of WH Smith, Tesco and some independent newsagents, though stocks aren't predictable. Cover price varies according to gift, but about £3-4.

To give you an idea of the figures I was talking about, here's Rainbow Dash:

They're a bit bigger than blind bags, and slightly better quality -- show-accurate manes, for example. So far, we've had the Mane Six (both Uni and Ali Twilight), Scootaloo and Vinyl.

I have all of them except Pinkie, as she was the first to be released and I missed out. They're extremely rare on the second-hand market, even on eBay, but one of these days I shall snag her and ( ... )
