I've read this chapter and I wanted to point out my favorite bits, but then I realized I'd be copying half the story. *lol* It's awesome. I love the talks between everyone and how they're portrayed. What a fun read and great dialogue.
As for the pairings:
Charles/Erik = wonderfully dramatic. Their story really is tragic, isn’t it? I really like how you’ve written their meeting.
Rogue/Gambit = TROUBLE! *lol*
Rogue/Logan = Yay for ambiguity. Heheh. Love that part where Jean observes them and that she can’t read Logan’s mind. It makes it more vague and angsty.
Just one thing: some sentences are cut off, so maybe it’s something that’s missed by your beta’s, or something went wrong with posting. Just to let you know. It’s not really bothering because you can fill in the blanks, but I thought I’d let you know in case the posting went wrong.
Hope to read more soon!

ETA: I finally got enough time to read this. I agree with everything Becca wrote - including the grammar issues. In particular this segment:
“Both of the telepaths are gone and Storm can’t camouflage us since she’s with her powers. The children are all asleep,”
“And what am I, chopped liver?” Storm replies warily.
'Storm can't camouflage us since she's with her powers' - Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but that didn't make sense to me.
Sorry, but as I beta for quite a few authors, some things just jumped out at me. I tell people it's an 'occupational hazard'. LOL
I really like the way you've incorporated aspects of the film and the comics(Stryker as a preacher) while also creating a new storyline. *Bravo*
I look forward to reading the continuation of this.
