Remy's a little darker than I'm used to in this fic, but I'm open to the idea. The poor man is literally competing with the one man that Marie's always had high up on that perfect pedestal. Though, it sort of seems as though Rogue viewed the rough night as a mixture of fierce passion and a warning of some sort, unless I read too much into it. I do hope that our favorite Southern gal knows what she's doing! Thanks for sharing. (:

Yeah, I did make Remy a little darker. In the comics he's such a "cartoon creation" that's making fun of himself, so in this particular story, I wanted him to have a little more depth, layers, even if that meant making him angry at the fact that his wife is in love with someone else. That would...be frustrating especially if it's being witnessed by a large number of people.

And yes, you analyzed their night correctly. *smiles*

I am really really liking this darker Remy. I'm surprised at Rogue's passiveness toward his (borderline) abuse...from him of all people. It's probably because the only dynamic between her and Remy I have to go off of is from the comics and the cartoons and she always seemed to have HIM by the balls in those mediums, lol. I'm wrapping my head around it though and I am enjoying this! You're doing a terrific job at conveying her guilt, conflict and self hate. I'm definitely feeling plenty of sympathy toward the Marie you've written.

BRAVO!

Can't wait to read more!

Awww, thank you so much! Yeah, in my other fics, she does have him by the balls, and I appreciate that she does, but I think I just wanted her to have some conflicting emotions inside her from loving two men and to not every minute be the "I am woman, hear me roar" X-Woman that I see her as most of the time. Because no one exudes that at every minute. We'd be exhausted, LOL.

But, we'd be really boring if we had no back-bone, wouldn't we?

Yes, this version of Remy is different from the cartoon - but I'm glad because I don't care for that incarnation. And I'm glad that characterization didn't translate to the movie screen and this story.

I liked Scott stating that Logan has a pattern of poaching on other men's territory. I don't think Logan even realizes he tends to do that.
