I really like the world that you've created for us. Though it may sound odd, I actually like Jean in this story. (Which is probably an odd comment to make since generally Jean's a catty biotch!) However, in this story she seems more regal, classier than she does in many fics. Her obvious friendship with Rogue (shown through her protectiveness) coupled with their friendship with Storm is very touching. They seem very close-knit; something I enjoy.

Oh, poor Remy. I've always loved him, though maybe not with Rogue (as he just seems too freaking awesome to be tied down). Rogue is having such a hard time, and having a delicious Logan teasing her at every opportunity certainly can't be easy. I sense a brawl in the near future!

Thanks for sharing. (:

Hi there! Thank you so much for the compliments! Especially that I made Jean at least somewhat likeable for you. A lot of people have a strong distaste for her, which I understand, having her be the "other" woman, but I somehow viewed her as a confidant to Rogue after she got over her little obsession with Logan that was stupid to begin with. *shivers with revulsion ( ... )

I can't wait to see how this develops. I agree with the previous poster- Jean is far more likeable here than I've seen her in other fics (including my own!). I get so angry at the misuse of Remy in the X Men franchise. He was such a major character in the comic books/cartoons and for then to center the first film around Rogue and not even introduce Remy there....just ticks me off. I can only forgive the fact that he appears in 'Origins' because Hugh Jackman produced it and Taylor Kitsch is all sorts of gorgeous.

Remy's tough to write! OMG! I've written him like crap before, not saying I succeeded here, but I love him, so I tried harder! This is my first and probably last attempt at an accent, but I wanted to try! *smiles*

Thanks for the feedback! *blows kisses*

Kudos for including such a great version of Remy. I wrote most of my fics before "Origins: Wolverine", so my only impression of LeBeau was from the comics and the various cartoon versions - and none of them were particularly flattering. Kitsch improved on the previous incarnations and gave us a great reference point for the character. I still not sure if I could do him justice though.

I'm really enjoying reading this as a reader instead of a beta ... although I'm tempted to check my beta copy and see which of my suggestions you incorporated. LOL

Yeah, I think this Remy is much better than my past-versions as well. It's easier when you have a gorgeous, well laid out version like Kitsch provided to imagine in your mind while writing. *smiles*

And I take pretty much all of your beta-ed suggestions, and analysis that we do over the phone! :) It's so much fun!

Same with having Hugh as Logan and Anna as Marie. I think the shipdom would not have been the same (or even existed at all) with different actors in those roles. Hugh & Anna ARE Logan & Marie.
