Ha - this might actually be it. And even if it's not, it's pretty damn funny!

Actually, I had meant to tell you "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" but I got caught up with...well, everything.

But Happy birthday - sorry it's a day late...

I hope I'm reading this right and I'm sorry about HEI. I lurk mostly because you are one of the best writers I know but I never have anything to contribute.

Don't be sorry about HEI - she's leaving so that she can be with someone that treats her right.

Besides, the sun's better out there.

Thanks for saying that about my writing; fewer people comment now so I wonder a lot who I'm writing for at times.

Two compliments in a row from two different readers - thanks so much for taking the time to tell me. I'm glad you're reading.

It's like that sometimes when we meet old friends - I think it's both parties preconceived notions about each other (lingering from the past, probably) that makes [understandable] conversation sometimes difficult...

Or maybe that's just me, ;)

Don't it always seem as though the people that matter the most, you treat the worst?

I'm going to try my best to speak their language as much as I can. It's hard though; I think I've been speaking Martian for years...

That's so very true - probably because we know that we love/care for the other person and know they're more apt to forgive us...usually. ;)

J often says he's only responsible for transmission, not reception, but I think that's selling the communcation short. You still have to know if your conversation partner is recieving in English or Martian, thank you.

I agree with you completely; I think I saw the world as J saw it for years. But I think that it's the speaker's responsibility to make him/herself understood properly.
