Yesterday spaceshipmonkey shared with us some scans from a book that I am still astonished exists - "Die Spieler" with photography by Ellen von Unwerth. That really is some amazing fanservice right there.

On the one hand it's awesome, because...well, it's fanservice! It's practically like fanfiction, only in awesome pictures. HOWEVER, it is also rather cruel for overseas fans. I looked up shipping costs to Australia, and they're INSANE.

The black and white artwork is beautiful, although I do miss the fact you can't see the colour of the player's eyes.

It's really spectacularly fantastic. Especially in a fandom where I can't understand the language - this is entirely visual! Yay!

Oh man, if it's bad to America I can only imagine what it is to Australia. :((( Maybe if you found other Australian Mannschaft fans like I was talking about and you shared the burden?

I agree with the eye color thing but everything else makes this worthwhile, I think. :D

Seriously, unless you have an excuse you never gonna do anything grand. I find excuses why I must be abroad and go do it.

Haha well I've already taken a hop and a skip across the pond once this summer - I went to Dublin for two weeks. :) So close yet so far! I did go to Germany for like three whole days while I was studying abroad in Dublin a couple years ago, it was quite nice! I'd surely like to go back some day.
