Our thighs are better than their thighs! The players that is. Definitely do not want to go by mine. /horror movie hands/
Off to do housework so I don't have to think about this. Apparently it's the 60th anniversary of the Miracle of Bern. Let's hope that good omen is working today!
I still quibble with lack of podolski and schurrle and kroos over the two of them but whatever
Maybe Jogi was trying to emulate the coach who fielded the second team just to screw with all the teams and revealed his strongest players in the finals
No poldi nor Schurrle, because Löw is still looking for rotation. I assume Özil will look for a central position while Germany is attacking, and Kroos will try to cover the left when defending, but since you have Kroos and Özil on the left (plus Lahm as RB,) Höwedes job is simplified a lot, as he is not burdened with creativity, and actually makes that side pretty strong defensively as Khedira will contribute as well.
Since, theoretically Kroos, Müller and Özil can play as number 10, considering the constant rotation you'll see, it makes Klose and Müller even more dangerous.
And even in the case Höwedes is completely surpassed in that position, Boateng can switch to LB, and Höwedes to CB. That would be a bit too radical, but can be done if needed.

Purportedly these are the starting elevens:
France: Lloris, Debuchy, Varane, Sakho, Evra, Cabaye, Matuidi, Pogba, Valbuena, Griezmann, Benzema
Deutschland: Neuer - Lahm, Hummels, Boateng, Howedes - Khedira, Schweinsteiger - Ozil Mueller Kroos - Klose
Note the change in Germany's lineup!!

Deschamps practically has nothing to work with.

At least Klose is there. I feel calmer knowing Klose is there.
And Lahm at RB.
