2) OMGWTF. My inner Sirius/Bellatrix, Veronica/Logan shipper is defriending you right now. Though I guess that falls into 3) doesn't it. Considering the Veronica/Logan shippers probably want to kick me out of their fandom.

And 6) is brilliant. I love having other post-college confused people on my list.

I actually don't hate Logan/Veronica in of itself... just the shippers/fandom. So how about they kick you out and I take you in and feed you on blackberry green tea frappachinos or something?

Also I ship Burke/Cristina in Grey's Anatomy and that's both canon and like universally popular so perhaps I fail at rarepairs too.

Also: OMG WTF I FAIL AT LIFE *insert post college aimlessness woe here*

OMG we should have a community for post-college aimlessness (I actually have rl meta about this I want to write up and post sometime soon), and we should call it failatlife. (I was going to go with ifailatlife but that's taken.

1 and 6 are both wonderful. I am lacking in book lovers and others to respond and react to my book reviews, and I would love to find other people working through Reconstructionst faiths, at best Celtic Reconstructionist, so that we could bitch about finding rare books, reading confusing articles, and being awed and terrified by new languages together.

A majors/studies meme would be interesting, too. I know very few Enlgish majors, considering, and would like to read about others' areas of concentration, especially as the field is so vast.

I really like all your ideas, but I love number two. Granted, I normally friend based on rare pairs just because we need to stick together, but still, I'd like to friend other people that way. :)

I love the idea for rarepairings and the philsophical/opinions friending frenzies. Rarepairings happen in all fandoms, so having others sharing your unpopular or rare pairings in a specific fandom would be interesting. Especially when discussing why you pair those certain character together. The philsophical and opinions one would definitely include interesting conversations with other people, either who have the same view as you or oppose your views. But without bashing of viewpoints, find an intelligent way of talking about those issues and, possibly, find a new friend in the process. I also like the music one as well, because discovering new artists and different genres of music is always a pleasure.

Going along with your TV Doctors one, there's also an increasingly amount of detective and law shows appearing lately. Perhaps giving reasoning why you like these types of shows, or what attractions you to them, would cause for great discussion.

I'm glad you liked my ideas :)

I always like to spark discussion and bonding and growth.

The law enforcement show one would indeed be a good idea.

I'd definitely join in with all of them, especially three and four. Even though I love fandom, my friends list is so full of it that I feel like I'm missing out on philosophical/political/whatever bantering. Plus, most of the people I spend time with have extremely similar views that it would be nice to hear a dissenting opinion every once in awhile.

If only I had a big enough flist to host them... sigh.
