Great, and chilling, story. I could completely see it happening that way.

Thank you. The recipient asked for the Jaime/Catelyn and once I thought about the possibility of this very different Cersei/Robert it was so disturbing and yet I had to write about it.

This is pure crack, and it is beautiful.

At first she’d taken up with Petyr Baelish - and this is where I spat tea all over my laptop. *dies laughing*

(Although, Jaime and Catelyn as the monarchs? OUCH. Poor realm!)

Crack can be fun sometimes. It really seemed the best option with a pairing that had to be AU.

How could I leave Littlefinger out? That would be unfangirlish.

Feel comforted by the fact that Tywin is actually a pretty good Hand and Littlefinger is totally setting himself up to succeed him. All Jaime and Catelyn have to do really, is to look pretty.

Sometimes there's nothing better than some good crack.

Heee. I see your point. But LF/Cersei!... *dies again*

So there is Jaime and Catelyn, and then Littlefinger adds himself to the mix. This spells Trouble.

Wow, this is a really interesting and disturbing turn of events, and I enjoyed reading it. With all the ensuing crack!pairings, it's the Ned/Lysa that cracks me up, though. Perhaps Ned was able to stay Lysa from the path of crazy. :)

Thanks. I actually suspect that if Catelyn has married Jon Arryn and Lisa Ned it probably would have worked out better.

Yes, I do think Catelyn would've been able to handle marrying a much older man. Jon Arryn probably would have been warmer to Catelyn too, since he kiiind of thought Lysa was skanky. :(

Yeah. Catelyn expected and accepted marrying for duty, whereas Lysa resented it.
