I don't think you'll defriend me over it. In the fandom, people tend to associate fans of Jon with the most kind of obnoxious brainless fangirl though. I'm curious to see what you think.

Oh, I know the feeling. I've seen the same thing with the GSR people at the CSI fandom, not to mention the "H/H vs R/H" wars. I removed myself from the CSI fandom precisely because of that, but with HP I went for a different approach by picking ships like Lockhart/fuzzy pink bathrobe and Rolf/Luna (well, R/L was after RPing Rolf and falling for the fella). And, of course, with Doctor Who I'm escaping the "Rose vs. Martha" issue by picking a new ship. *points to icon*

Also Doctor Who fandom is always making me forget that I really liked Rose with it's crazy.

ASoIaF fandom is odd in that it's mostly not first time fandomers so there's like a black hole where most of the popular ships usually would be because everyone is avoiding them.

You'd better! Because I am going to write about how we are destined and use a glittry pink front to make manips of me and some guy I will cast as him and not cut them!

Gaeta is at least 80% gay, but I wouldn't kick him out of bed if he was having doubts about that.

That is an interesting thought. I feel like Littlefinger took a much more productive approach to dealing with rejection though. Of course then that leads to thinking about Heathcliff/Little Cathy and that is a scary non-con place.

I'm totally with you on Lord Asriel and maybe on Littlefinger. (Petyr's great, and I love him for all the reasons you listed, but I know he'd be mentally comparing me to fantasy!Cat and that's just a turn-off.)

Also, I have no idea who the guy in the bathtub is, having never watched Love Actually (and probably being the sole person on earth not to have done so), but on the strength of that picture alone, he seems like a good choice.

I feel like eventually maybe he'd transfer the obsession? I can be fastidious with red hair dye.

In the movie he's the really minor character of "Carl, from engineering" whom one of the characters is totally smitten with. He's into her too, but she ditches him to go take care of her mentally ill brother. I always feel wrong wanting her not to.
