Is he British? Because, if so, they really don't worry about that crap like we do in America, lol!! For all of our sexsexsex! Drugs! Voyeurism! Violence! Naughtiness! We're rather like a 13 year old boy with his first porno mag, whose parents are Puritans.
Come to think of it, I guess that kind of IS the problem, isn't it, lol!
lol yes, he is British... and yes, I agree, we've got a pretty bassackwards society...
so many people get up and arms and all OMG GASP NAKEDNESS and I'm just like so the fuck what... I actually kinda LIKE when it randomly shows up in movies cus it's like YES! real life!
among my friends I seem to be (at least from my perspective) one of the most open/promiscuous ones... so it's hard to shock me and I have little reaction to stuff like that, beyond enjoying the view LOL
... but you've got kiddos, which is a slightly diff scenario lol
Right??? We always have to pair sex with it, but that isn't so overseas.
Hard to shock me as well. Most of the time when it comes to kiddos, it is adult themes/ideas (which would make the movie/telly boring aside from occasional flashes of nekkidness), overly graphic sex or excessive (gory) violence. But I will let them watch some mature shows with mature content, depending on whether there is something there that will a) interest them B) NOT be something they will discuss with friends and get themselves into trouble with (ie; sex scenes, the like) C) is something that a child's filter can handle without overload.
off the list above I would say all of them have language, at least a lil bit, except Wuthering, TMWar and Mad Max, cus those were mass releases and Hollywood is a pussy... mild violence in C44 and Legend
I would say Stuart and Bronson are def not for kids, and not just cus of the naked, they're pretty dark
the two rentals I watched last night... mild language, mild violence
The Drop is kinda dark, just cus it deals with NY underground mafia type stuff, and people get killed predictably... kinda slow, Hardy is adorably awkward and adopts an adorable pit puppy, so I was screwed from the beginning lol (currently 29hrs left on the rental)
Warrior I also liked, MMA fighting, so that level of violence, not a /deep/ story, but watching him fight was worth it for me LOL (currently 10hrs left on the rental)
