However, considering the nature of Ukiyo, sex becomes a subject of life or death for those with a cursed tattoo (which Rolo had and will have in Ukiyo). Rolo has no interest in dying. He blatantly says as much in episode four when it seems as if he'll be shot by an oncoming missile. How this firm desire to live applies to sex in the context of Ukiyo and its tattoo can be explained largely by Rolo's background.
Rolo Lamperouge embodies the trope of When All You Have is a Hammer, meaning that for his entire life, he's been ingrained to believe that no matter what, a mission must be accomplished. Should there be an obstacle or someone in the way, the answer for Rolo has always been to remove the obstacle. Or kill the person. Applying this to staying alive and having to have sex to do so
