Wait, it wasn't a 4th Holmes sibling? I thought it was a brother. Maybe I missed that part; I had a tough time with some of the dialog. I guess at the end Sherlock says, "you killed my best friend" which I thought was a weird way to refer to a brother.
I had to watch the episode twice to catch everything. But yeah, Redbeard was actually Victor Trevor, Sherlock's best friend. Though I'm sure Moffat and Gatiss were tempted to make Redbeard the fourth Holmes sibling.
I spent most of the episode trying to pin down why the island prison with the hypnotized governor seemed so familiar. I had a good laugh when I realized that Moffat and Gatiss had stole from Doctor Who. I guess since Doctor Who borrowed from the Sherlock Holmes stories, it seems only fair that Sherlock borrow from Doctor Who.

I've never gotten into Sherlock, but I still enjoy reading other people's reactions. And this line made me LOL.
