I keep thinking it's Saturday simply because Doctor Who was on today. :-) Too bad the episode was, well, meh.

I'm afraid Moffat is going to write next year's Christmas special, too. Few months ago, he said he had 14 episodes to write.

I agree with almost everything - except I'm not a River fan and I like hoodies - and I'm surprised to see the praise the episode gets. To me, it lacked emotional depth, and I expected a play on the superhero genre, not a copy of Superman. Thank lord series 10 looks good at the moment.

Hmm, well, at least this episode wasn't his last Christmas Special. He has one more chance to deliver something a bit more memorable.

That's right. My favourite Moffat special is still Last Christmas, maybe he can top it.

"Last Christmas" will be hard to top. The ending is what makes it for me. The callback to "The Time of the Doctor" with the Christmas cracker gets me every time. That and the sheer joy from the Doctor and Clara as they run back to the TARDIS.

As long as his last special is enjoyable and not a bloated mess, then I think it'll be okay.
