Oh, ow. Great characterisation, though. The Master really is not a nice man...

Yeah, this isn't a cheery chapter, but it made sense to me, in a weird, twisted sort of a way. It has more impact on Martha than the Master turning the Doctor into a gnome. She really has something to fight for after this chapter.
