LochJournal 2.0 Progress

Since this is taking so long, I've decided to call it LochJournal 2.0. Additionally, it is a total rewrite. Anyway, I'm posting this now from LochJournal 2.0. It posts! And the whole friends viewing/editing thing works. Uh, so, what's left to do ( Read more... )

Small issue, and I'm not sure if you want this sort of thing reported here or not.

When you create the new account, you get a message saying "Account created" or some such. There is an OK button to push, but it has a button that looks like a CANCEL or NO button. Intentional? Mistake?

And another thing I noticed which will probably be cleared up when you start polishing up the whole program.

Tab-stops in the post entry window are odd. If you're in the title field and you hit tab you end up on the 'detect' button.

Yeah. I've run into both of these. Thanks for reporting them, though. :)

Very interesting thing: name of own journal look correct, but list of friend - just symbols UTF.

Umm...ok. I don't know very much about computers, but this one has me worried. My desktop computer went down about a month ago. I borrowed a loptop and it went down the exact same way last night. The only thing the computers had in common was Loch Journal. We can't fingure out what spicifically is wrong, why they won't even start right, but we're pretty sure we've ruled out all other possible causes.

Is there a way we can get a test version of 2.0? I would like to see it, lochjournal should also be upgraded to use Word XP or Word 2000's Spell check function. Let me know :)

Hi, I am a new user to LochJournal, and therefore no next to nothing about your program; thus, I went to your read-me file to find no info about the program. Will you, if you still have a copy of your read-me file laying around somewhere, e-mail it to me. I would be eternally grateful. Thanks.
