Most people won't speak up but it's important to. You're not just doing it for yourself, you're giving the next person he does that to within hearing more courage to tell him to step off. Be proud!

And move to Portland. Cheaper than SF, but close enough to visit. I think you'd like it there. :)

Hey Katy, thanks for the encouragement. The problem there weas that he didn't believe he was doing anything wrong. I guess that'l happen when you start drinking at 10am. Oh well.

Regarding your suggestions- Portland and SF are both places that I've considered amon many. What I'm trying to do is a find a nice place where I'd know someone. Right now the best option is looking like Colorado. It's pretty inexpensive and it's where I know the most people.

Are you still in the Bay? Tell me more about Portland. Give me your best sales pitch! I wanna know the pros and cons of everything on my list.

I'll be moving back to the Bay in September or so- I'm actually currently in London! :) I love it here.

Colorado might be a good place to start, and then you can move to Portland or SF if you feel like it later. SF is a lot of fun, but really busy and expensive- you'll probably end up living in the East Bay, which is cool and cheaper, but even so, expect to pay $500+ in a flat share. Portland's cheaper, and the public transit is a bit better, but it snows. However, being from Massachusetts, you'll be used to that. I'd suggest Portland mainly because it's like a closer knit SF. I'd highly recommend couchsurfing in both places for a week and see what you think.

London would be nice, my only worry would be a band of hooligans knocking over dustbins in Shaftesbury.

I plan to spend some time in CO to get a feel for the place, but that may not be as possible in Portland. How far is it from SF? Cheaper is better if possible so I would probably stay out of the bay area unless visiting. Thanks again! I'll do some more research. :D

Running away won't solve your problems.

Yeah, you're right. There are bound to be bad days no matter where you are. But I'm tired of Bostonians and they're attitudes. I'm considering Minnesota too, just because they're so damn friendly, dontcha know? HUGS.
