WATCH ME BEING RANDOMLY RANDOM.pikkaDecember 3 2008, 17:01:19 UTC
But really.. how the hell is the crew going to reunite? Including East/South Blue, they're all over the freaking map.
*coughs*time leap*/coughs* They were all so not ready for the New World, but they were already entering it. So... well. I don't see any other solution to it. But well, Oda might?
And you know, I never considered Ace's and Luffy's relation to be relevant to the plot before, either, but I actually do now. Or at least the whole heritage thing. We all know there must be more to his family, even if it's "just" a relation to Roger. (Well, duh. I'm kinda hoping for more. Descendant of the battered royal family from the black century and stuff.)
Have you read the script, though? Garp says something along the lines of that Luffy used to listen to his father's stories..? I find that kinda confusing. Strike that. *lol* It's incorrect.
ASIDE FROM THAT, we all knew Dragon was not a good guy, right? And Perona/Zoro for the win! X3 (Not really buying the Buggy/Alvida/Hancock thing yet, though.)
Re: RANDOM PIKKA IS RANDOMpikkaDecember 3 2008, 17:46:59 UTC
I was always looking forward to a time leap - that, or an abrupt and unexptecting ending of the series. (But NOOOOOO! omg, no) Because seriously? Luffy and Co. might be strong, they might even be standing out - but it would be a bit off, if they were able to stand up against pirates, who have been around for ages and have--- well, more than a handful of crewmates? So, it would actually make sense to skip a few years. Also, the revolution would have made a big step forward, too, and bring a lot of major changes to the storyline
( ... )
But Nami is far, faaaar away. High up in the clouds. Why is it whenever Luffy has these amorous women around him, Oda conveniently finds a reason to keep her from witnessing it? Dammit, I wanna see reactions. And if possible, jealousy.
I wanted to like Hancock when she was first introduced. She's just.. such a disappointment. I could cry.
I feel dumb for never even considering Zoro/Perona; doesn't help OneManga didn't upload that page when I first read the chapter. Thank God I'm not wishing death upon Perona for having cute scenes with him. (maybe I'm too assured that Zoro's conflict with Tashigi is going to end with squeeful fluffy epicness to feel threatened by other girl characters who might develop interest in him?)
....damn, now I'm wondering what would happen if Tashigi ever got first-hand word of all of Zoro's awesome-sauce feats since Alabasta. Dammit. My mind is gone and now all I can think about is shipping analysis. Crap.
I'm not that keen on Zoro/Tashigi, mainly because while I really like Tashigi she needs to get out of Zoro's shadow and develop a bit independently. Especially since that epic shodown will happen (it has to). But I'm not sure if it'll end out fluffy.. rather I'm seeing lots of angst and hard decisions.
Shipping in OP is the worst disease isn't it? It's Oda's fault for making such great characters with so much potential chemistry.
"Because come on, Buggy/Alvida is so meant to be."
.....DEAR GOD GET OUT OF MY HEAD.
I thought I was the only one who ever thought of those two as a potential ship. I thought was "Damn, that lady's going to be crushed when she figures out only Nami does it for Luffy." And the ship reminds me of Drakken/Shego from Kim Possible, show of squishy childhood nostalgia. Also, Alvida needs to learn that the best relationships started from plain old companionship, dammit.
CRACK THEORY! Hancock and Duval will be become super-special awesome best-friends-forever! 'Cause FRIENDSHIP ROCKS!
Another believer! I was sold on those two ever since I saw her chiding Buggy and the boys when they first met Ace. It was like "aww.. he's hen-pecked!" Alvida needs to have a "Bulma" experience and realize that she's been chasing what she's had all along (a 'strong' man). But that'll probably come at the end, otherwise all the comical, romantic tension would be lost. Notice Oda's been building a little lineup of unwanted suitors for our heroes.
HANCOCK AND DUVAL! Freaky because I actually considered those two back when I still thought Hancock was a 20-foot woman. Just think of the stimulating conversations they'd have: basically "I'm beautiful/handsome!" tennis-balled back and forth. It's perfect.
