Tennessee is currently considering a bill to make it illegal to talk about homosexuality in the classroom.  Opponents are calling it the "Don't Say Gay" bill.  George Takei (yes, the original Sulu) has come up with a solution in protest to this bill.

Hey I just thought of something. Does the illegal apply to the students too? Might help with bullying since they can't call each other queers and fags and make gay jokes.

I don't know what the purpose of this bill is. I don't remember ever hearing a teacher talk about homosexuality in school.

It's for teachers.

Apparently they've already passed the bill in the State Senate though.

Awesome. I kinda want a shirt too, but I'm not a huge Star Trek fan by any means (literally. I've seen maybe 2 or 3 eps of the series that was out in the what? 80s or 90s? the newer one with Patrick Stewart. and I've seen the 2009 Star Trek movie and The Wrath of Kahn. that's it) so I feel like real ST fans would flip their lid at me wearing a shirt like that. I dunno.
