i'm still a huge fan of tod's and my little timberline tent, but it's a tad short for standing upright for changing into garb, and it is also more expensive than you wanted to pay for.

For the tent: get one where the over-flap rain-guard thingie extends all the way down to the ground! :p (They make so many that don't, that it's frustrating.) Also, make sure that you're going to have clear routes for the water to run all the way down to the ground, and that it won't be able to puddle up anywhere on top of the tent.

Then, make sure you get some seam sealer with it, and set it up this week before you go to Pennsic and seal all of the seams.

Sorry that I can't actually offer you a brand/name suggestion, but I haven't found one I'm happy with yet, either. :)

I borrowed one for Gulf Wars that was (I'm not exaggerating here) big enough to park my little car inside! (If I could have driven it in through the tent flaps - and I might have had to crawl out through the trunk.) I wound up being very happy for that, because the owner hadn't sealed it at all and there were several puddles inside after a good rain. I just had to move things around and mop up the puddles (and thankfully it didn't rain again the next day).
