So, to yesterday's 3,000 words, which I didn't post about because I was in a foul mood, I'm adding today's 2,500 (2,513, if you want to be picky), and calling it quits.  Not because I'm having leftovers generously flavoured in more foulness this fine evening, but because I'm terribly angry and tense and murderous, and it's not quite the right ( Read more... )

You need somewhere to store your shinies so they are out of sight and out of mine. I recommend a notebook. The rule is there are no sentences, just plot diagrams so I'm not writing, just outlining ideas to come back to later.

I find mindnumbing fluff also distracts them, try Youtubing Burupya Ghost 07 ^_^

I have a big pile of scrap paper with scribbled shinies. They keep multiplying, though. They're like the plot bunnies that way...

I can't plot diagram shinies because they are scenes, not plots, and I don't know where they want to go, unfortunately. It bugs me to no end when I have an idea but no plot to go with it.

Well there's no hurry! I'm sorry that you're not feeling well though.

Though now you have me curious about this plot bunny of yours, which led me to realize my own sense of morbidity. Is it normal to be excited and curious about something admittedly 'brutally violent'? I dunno. :\ Anyway! Feel better!

I'm feeling better! Thank you!

It's perfectly normal *nods sagely* to be excited and curious about something "brutally violent". Now I will have to write it to satisfy your curiosity :D

Yay for more words written! It's good to know when to leave off something because you're not in the right mindset for it :-)

I'm curious to see if this errant nibbler will turn into something. But I agree, Monty Python and the Holy Grail had the right idea about bunnies.

Whenever I'm in a particularly homicidal or violent mood, I always end up researching weapons. In order not to alarm people, they're usually weapons of antiquity, which had the bonus of impressing the gamer crowd during high school.

Sometimes I'm in the perfect mindset for mass destruction. It was just at the wrong point of the story though.

I *want* this errant nibbler to turn into something. It is not cooperating!

I used to have a notebook with drawings of weapons and how they could be used, complete with a sequence of, say, fighting moves and ending with someone dead and eviscerated. I used up a lot of red pencils... I am soooo lucky no one stumbled on that notebook. I don't know how I would have successfully explained that it was research for stuff I was writing.
