I have a big pile of scrap paper with scribbled shinies. They keep multiplying, though. They're like the plot bunnies that way...
I can't plot diagram shinies because they are scenes, not plots, and I don't know where they want to go, unfortunately. It bugs me to no end when I have an idea but no plot to go with it.

Though now you have me curious about this plot bunny of yours, which led me to realize my own sense of morbidity. Is it normal to be excited and curious about something admittedly 'brutally violent'? I dunno. :\ Anyway! Feel better!

I'm curious to see if this errant nibbler will turn into something. But I agree, Monty Python and the Holy Grail had the right idea about bunnies.
Whenever I'm in a particularly homicidal or violent mood, I always end up researching weapons. In order not to alarm people, they're usually weapons of antiquity, which had the bonus of impressing the gamer crowd during high school.

I *want* this errant nibbler to turn into something. It is not cooperating!
I used to have a notebook with drawings of weapons and how they could be used, complete with a sequence of, say, fighting moves and ending with someone dead and eviscerated. I used up a lot of red pencils... I am soooo lucky no one stumbled on that notebook. I don't know how I would have successfully explained that it was research for stuff I was writing.
