So, another conversation, in lieu of actual content, because I don't seem to have the brainpower for anything more -- it's been one of those days, starting with going to the gym only to realize after the workout and shower that I didn't actually pack a bra, and had to drive back home before going to work, then going downhill from there ( Read more... )

Kinda love that you do chemistry as a day job but still have time for hobbies, as an aspiring scientist makes me happy to know both are possible!

I think I'd go crazy if I didn't have some sort of creative outlet. My brain isn't designed to be only logic and theories and math all the time. It would blow up if it was.

FWIW, a colleague does medieval re-enactments, a scientist dude friend of mine designs roleplaying games for fun, and someone I know, also a scientist, knits. You can totally have time for hobbies! It's just really hard to do when you're in school -- at least, it was for me.
