Everything I have heard about this movie (from the average movie goer, not professional reviewers/critics) makes it sound like a disaster. The only good that's come out of it for me is watching people rant about it, because they get so very passionate about it. Definitely enough to keep me from watching any future Star Wars movies, though.

is it just me or Luke did not seem like himself?

Oh, trust me, it's not just you. Mark Hamill himself says it goes against everything Luke stood for in the original trilogy. Given that, it's impressive he managed to turn in a good performance.

I'm sorry the movie failed to live up to your hopes for it. I hope you weren't a big Star Wars fan before this; seeing something like this must have been devastating if you were.
