Almost Human; Sleepy Hollow

Okay, I might be already addicted to Almost Human. Love the chemistry in yesterday's ep between John and Dorian. Two cute guys. Partners. I believe the slash is already writing itself.

Sleepy Hollow is continuing to intrigue me. Enjoying the chemistry between Ichabod and Abbie.

I do believe FOX has itself a Scifi Monday!!

So am I. I just hope they keep Ichabod and Abbie as friends, don't want them to be more than that. Still can't believe Orlando jones reads fanfic lol.

I ~love~ Sleepy Hollow! I love Ichabod and his sexy accent. Yes, I hope they keep him just friends with Abby. I think it would spoil the show if they made them a romantic pair.

I haven't watched either episode of Almost Human yet, but I've got them in my queue on Hulu, so I'm going to start watching. I've been looking forward to this series. I seriously love Michael Ealy.

I'm surprised slash wasn't written before the pilot aired. And my slashy little heart actually let out a squee when they had a male sexbot in the "show room". He was in the background, but he was there.

Loving Sleepy Hollow, even as I abandon all hope of the overall plot being coherent. Love the casting all around, but especially with Ichabod and Abbie, though I hope the show keeps it to just friends. We rarely get to see it, and it's nice.

Me too! I saw the male sexbot. It was so quick, if you blinked, you missed it. But, hey, women need sexbots, too. :P

The slash could've been written just seeing the commercial.

Yes, Sleepy is a bit convoluted. Basically it's just good vs. evil.

Unfortunately, the writers were probably thinking the male sexbot is primarily used for male clientele, which is generally how it works with sex workers today.

Though if you combine the concept of the bots not exactly having a sexual orientation and are merely bonding with people and following their programming, add in there's no chance of pregnancy or disease, plus there's not the social complications of getting caught in an affair with a human, and for bonus points there's probably a reduced risk of the company who owns the bot trying to blackmail you if they are legit and want to keep operating, so you've got a really good setup for women being able to use male or female bots just as men would.

I doubt we'll see followup to any of this on the show, but I'm hoping fanfic writers pick up on it and the potential.

It doesn't take much for fanfic writers to run with something. :P
