I hope you're good! The competition will be ferocious.

Well, we'll see...

Please keep in mind that I have no memories to work off of. I can't guarantee that I won't fail miserably.

If you do, you'll just fade into obscurity. The humiliation won't last long!

I would rather not be humiliated at all.

I have every intention of delivering my best possible performance given the current situation. It's not like Memento Eden could possibly have that many actors lying around, right?

Obscurity? I'm already stranded on an island in the middle of who-knows-where with no real goals other than creating an identity for myself and keeping the library aisles clear. Can't get much more obscure than that, I should think.

I hope I didn't unnerve you too much when I showed you that I can cast magic.

Not at all.
Thank you for taking the time to show me, Miss.

It is probably best that I didn't remain in the dark about it. Maybe I'll be more open-minded in the future as a result.

It was no problem. I only just remembered how to cast spells, myself.

I hope so! Magic is fascinating, don't you think?

Oh my, I never introduced myself, did I? I'm so sorry! My name is Terra.

Ah, I see. Congratulations on regaining some of your memories, then. I'm sure being able to control such abilities will prove useful in this place. Now that I think about it, it seems that Memento Eden has some form of magic of its own.

Perhaps, anyway.
I'm not sure what else to call it.

Hmm... Well, I can't say I'm so fascinated that I'd be willing to spend my life studying magic, but watching you produce fire out of thin air was something I will not likely forget.

It's nice to meet you, Ms. Terra. I assume you caught my name already when you read my entry, but for the sake of politeness, I am Ren Tsuruga.

Ohohoho! [Taps on his arm and whispers in a conspiratorial manner] I dye my hair too.

((OOC: No, Kyoko, run away from the spoilers!! I need to get some different icons in the mix, too. D= One of him freaking out or something...))

[Ren - despite his usual cool bishounen...ness - jumped at the contact. Suddenly he felt this inexplicable feeling of dread wash over him. What was this girl trying to do? Was this the result of him teasing her just a little? Perhaps he should have been more courteous.]

A...ah... Ms. Mogami...

You were able to read that?

((Kyoko fears no spoilers! Her mun is all up to date! And fifteen icons is not enough for these guys! *cries*))

[And Kyoko got a small amount of pleasure from watching him jump, but back to business!]

I was! It only took me a couple of minutes to figure it out too!

Well, aren't you clever? Oh well, I guess it's my fault for evening writing it.
[Does not seem particularly pleased.]

Did you need something from me, Ms. Mogami, or were you simply hoping to compare brands of hair products?

You met someone who recognized you, Mr. Ren? That's great!

Yes.

Although... I may be beginning to regret it. She's a rather... unique... creature...

Huh? Did something bad happen?

No, not precisely.

Still, I cannot shake the feeling that something bad may happen.

Maybe I'm worrying needlessly...

[You can imagine this in a light-hearted, yet strangely conspiratorial tone]

Indigo over henna does the trick nicely, if you're so inclined. Personally I dislike the little bottles of chemicals that seem so popular here, but so is the preference of a man out of his element. Ah well, do what you will.

...hrm?
I beg your pardon?

Now, now, you mustn't let a sense of modesty (ah, perhaps vanity?) stand in the way of good advice. Indigo over henna, you'll be right as rain.

I do not quite understand what you're trying to tell me, sir.

In short: you've lost me.
