My bills are Internet - $30/month Gas - $200/month (I live next to work, but drive approx 12hrs/ month to visit Michael) Food - $100/month groceries, $100/ month eating out and treating ppl. Health - my job takes out sth like $400/month for this Electric - $250-$450/month during the winter, $50-$150/month during the summer (I don't use the AC much) Water/sewer - $60/month TV - $80/month, but I'm canceling it in December. Car insurance - $800/every 6 months through USAA, with family referral discount
When I had gas heat/gas water/gas clothes dryer/etc, my electric bill was about $30/month, and my gas bill was about $200-$500/month.
Tack on my $870/month mortgage and there goes most of my paycheck LOL

:O
i mean apartment finances might be different. or i might be really bad with reality. in this instance, i'm really hoping it's the former (no offense).
also, who do you have for internet? the cheapest i've found is about that but only for 6 months, then it jumps. and seriously, i use my computer for TV now mostly, so i figure it's something i can cut. re-instituting netflix or getting hulu plus would be cheaper. and what heat do you use now that has your electric jump that much hun?
i probably wouldn't be driving 12 hours a month to see Suz & Co. probably more like 4-8. and my mom says that for the three of us, USAA is about 135/month, so that fits (since we're young drivers thereby more dangerous ::eye roll:: ). i forgot to call them today, but i'll try tomorrow.

Yeah this is for 1300sqft so apt will prolly be less! I have electric heat now, which is pretty expensive, if you want cheapest natural gas and propane are the cheapest ones. Once I had an electric bill of 890 - more than my mortgage! But I also have a friend who has a trailer and her heat one month was 600 :s and I use SMECO btw.
I use metrocast for Internet, it was the cheapest plan they have, and cheaper than other net companies cheapest plans...I think Comcast is cheaper if that is available where you are. For car insurance try to stay on your family plan at least that will save some money, mine is an independent contract so it is a Litttttle more thn it could be.

well, my mom is having issues affording things (she's paying for hers, mine and dad's and dad is unemployed right now and not reimbursing her), plus i talked to someone at USAA today, and he said since i wasn't living at home, by the time their policy comes up for review i have to be off anyway. so, yeah. the estimate he gave me for one of the simplest plans would be about 303/6 months, which isn't too bad.
i loathe comcast. but i might have to go back to them if i get a place alone.
