Kilmeny of the Orchard

Hello, I'm new here to Lj.  Anyway I just picked up a copy of Kilmeny of the Orchard.  I found it at a half-priced books.  Has anyone read it? Thoughts?  It's really short, like 130 pages.

I read it a long time ago and LOVED it. :) I like her more adult stories better and that's one of them that are more geared towards adults.

Kilmeny is one of my favorite LMM novels, right up there with the best of the Anne books and Blue Castle. Very sweet story. Unusual for her in that it's told from a male perspective (I can't think of any of her other books that do this aside from Story Girl/Golden Road). Has a bit of a Brontëish feel to it.

Kilmeny was fascinating. I preferred The Blue Castle, in a lot of ways, and I adore Jane of Lantern Hill.

It's a really sweet story. I need to re-read it, because it's been a while. But yes, it's very good.
