Today I attended my first in-person funeral in over two years. I've done a whole bunch of streamed funerals in that time, including for my own cousin, which I desperately wanted to attend but couldn't, so it felt like quite a big deal to be able to attend in person today.

I'm sorry for your loss...I am glad, however, that you had the chance to be there in person for the funeral this time. *Hug*

And wow, 56 first cousins, I can't even imagine...that must be nice to have so much family though.

Yeah...my dad's father was the oldest of 10 and his mother was the 10th of 12, it's a pretty huge family. Some of his cousins I never met, but some we've always been close to. It was good to be able to see some of them yesterday and be together for the service. I'm always going to be sorry we weren't able to have that when my cousin Gareth died earlier this year.
