I had a pretty nice weekend. I finally got around to watching The Color of Magic (OhmyGod, Vetenari and puppy!Wuffles) it's so awesome to see what this studio puts together for my very favorite book series (gotta remember to screenshot Hogfather...) I know they've done a Going Postal adaptation and I really want to see it. But I couldn't find it on ( Read more... )

Yep, I did. 'Course, admittedly it's been awhile since I read the book.

I think the last time I read the books was this summer during musical. So it's all still fresh in my mind. My favorite part was when Ron returns. (Sigh) Weasly is my king . .

I'm really glad you finally got to see it. I remember you couldn't go cause you were sick :-(

The last time I read the 7th book was... when it came out, basically. And I probably read it super-fast too @_@ I should reread. But there are some things you don't forget.

Thanks, me too! I'm rarin' to go for the holiday movie season now. Can't wait for Voyage of the Dawn Treader to come out.

I loved the Narnia books when I was little. I reread them when the first movie came out (got an omnibus becuase my old paperbacks were nowhere to be found). I started through again becuase I just saw Prince Caspian two weeks ago getting ready for Dawn Treader. I somehow missed Prince Caspian when it was at the theater.

I'm going to try to catch Voyage of the Dawn Treader this week. Is the only way to see it in 3-D?

Me too. I really hope they make a Silver Chair movie...

Gosh, I hope not. I hate 3D...

I'm thinking they're really going to have a problem when it comes time to make "The Last Battle". Susan does *not* get to go to heaven -- for the crime of turning into a typical teen-aged girl.

Well, if you look at the trailer for Voyage of the Dawn treader, there's like... a brief moment of Susan walking arm in arm with... I think *two* boys (it goes by quick, so I'm not sure if I'm remembering right). So I think they're actually trying to lay that in as a part of Susan's character arc.

I always thought it was a shame about Susan.

Oh my gosh there's a "Color of Magic" movie?!! So exciting!!!

Haha...But I should really go read the book first...(and finish Harry Potter)^^; Still, got to love Terry Pratchet!

I remember reading Narnia...and watching the old version of the movie...I kind of gave up after a while since the series was so long...^^; And now all the movies are catching up with me...Sigh, I really need to tie up those loose ends...

I KNOW, RIGHT? I hope this studio keeps making Discworld movies. They do an amazing job. BTW, The Color of Magic movie actually is an adaption of both The Color of Magic and The Light Fantastic.

You mean the BBC ones? Man, I saw those so long ago that I can't even remember most of them... Except I have very strong memories of Silver Chair for some reason (Puddlegrum is love).

Going Postal is a great adaptation. It was on UK television earlier/mid this year and was in 2 parts from what I can remember. If you can get hold of it somehow I'd recommend it!

Awesome! Since the other two specials got released on DVD, I'm sure I'll be able to get that one eventually.
