Since I'm going to be starting my new fic Diplomacy shortly, I figured I'd check out a book on Diplomacy from the library. I got a really awesome book that has a lot of interesting facts and funny anecdotes. The only problem is that it's not super current. It was published in 1963 XD

That is what is great about you. You take your writing seriously. Having an older book I think would fit better for the slayers setting since it takes place in the olden days. I've actually been doing my own kind of research for The Pledge to. Is this like a xelfi fanfic-frenzy that's going on right now >XD

I've been re-reading the pledge and analyzing nicci's specific vocabulary and writing style. I've actually been on quite a roll. I've already written 4 pages worth of notes. Huzzah! :)

Also, do you have an idea yet about how long your planning on making 'Diplomacy'?

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be a problem if the book was older. I was mostly looking for anecdotes to reference anyway. I love making references! Even if no one else knows what they're from XD

Since the formal outline isn't even completely finished (happens sometimes, as long as I know where I'm going I don't let it stop me) I don't actually know. It's really hard to tell at the beginning... though, if I were going to guess I'd say it'll be longer than Legal Matter.

Don't worry though, I don't intend to ignore The Pledge until it's finished. It's better for me to juggle projects anyway. I'd have more work on it done if it wasn't for the fact that my teacher's are whacking me with the mid-term stick X_x So right now I'm just collecting notes to formalize later. My goal as of now is to organize those notes before long and see if I can actually get a sample chapter done over Spring Break (for me, the last week of March).

So yeah, any notes/drafts you could share with me along the line would be really helpful :)

Should I send it directly to you or post it on my livejournal? I'm still working on the phrase/adjetive list that nikki uses for filia and xellos so I'll post that seperately when I'm done.

I'll also be posting a music playlist for The Pledge to help fuel that inspiration. It has almost all the songs that were used in the beginning of the chapters.
