[for Bran]This...is not going to go well.

Mar 31, 2007 21:45

Will turns in his sleep as the sun starts to penetrate the walls of his shelter, illuminating the room in shadowed stripes. He snuggles against Bran's back, absently tugging a bit of hair out of his mouth. Still more asleep than awake, his brow furrows; something feels just a bit off, a degree or two south of normal, or something. He just hasn't ( Read more... )

Bran stirs, snuggling Will closer against him, lips brushing across the back of his head. "Bore da, cariad," he murmurs sleepily, his eyes still closed, sliding a hand down Will's front.

...Waaaaaaait a second. Bran pushes himself up on his elbow and peers down at Will.

At least, he's really quite certain it was Will when he went to sleep last night.

He doesn't remember being drunk, or on any psychoactive drugs.

He cannot think of any logical reason why he would wake up, mostly naked, with River Tam.

Bran looks him over too, and nods. "Of course, Will." He squeezes his hand. "If it's any consolation, you make a very pretty girl."

Will blushes, nestling against Bran and allowing herself a few more moments of comfort. It was even more comforting to do it in this body, for some reason; to feel Bran's arms around her, making her feel safe and secure. "Thank you," she whispers softly.

Bran can do hugging. He could probably do more, if he didn't feel quite so strange about this strange Will-resembling-River thing, and he felt a bit as though he ought to ask them both first to make sure it was all right before he did anything like kissing. Which is a bit weird, because it's still Will, it's his boyfriend even if he does look like another friend who's a girl, but still.

...This may in fact have been a little bit easier last time. Jake had looked like that princess who'd been here for a while, but as Bran had never actually met her, it hadn't come up.

"Come on," he says, "if you get on my shoulders I'll carry you down. You're too bloody heavy for it normally."

Will giggles and steps back. "...You sure?" she asks, sayalthough the thought of riding pig-back on Bran is an amusing and tempting one. "I c'n walk." Although a glance at her feet tells her the shoes she has here are going to be too big, and will likely be quite awkward to walk in, flopping round and slipping off the whole time. That decides it.

"All right," she announces, moving round to stand behind him and hop up onto his back, slender arms wrapped round his neck.

"I know you can," Bran says, dry and fond, and catches his arms under Will's knees, "and when we get to where there are stairs, you'll be getting to again." The dogs have already let themselves out through the flap in Will's shelter, and Bran shifts Will a little to get to his glasses, slides them on his nose, and ducks out into the sun.

Will is content to just ride for a minute, but she soon gets bold enough to press a quick kiss to the side of Bran's neck--partly as a test, really. She's not quite sure what Bran is comfortable with, with this body.

Bran doesn't mind it if Will doesn't--at least on a superficial level; it's if Will wants to do too much more than kissing that they might run into a problem. As it is, if he thinks of it as an odd sort of fancy dress party in which Will has decided to dress up as River, it kind of works.

He whistles for the dogs, and they trot up and fall into step at his heels, looking up at Will curiously as if wondering why the person who smells like Will is now a girl.

Will is perfectly content to not do much more than kissing, really. That would require a level of exploration of the female body he's never had any desire to reach, not even if it's his own.

She peers down at Cof, absently pushing her hair out of her face. "Yes, it's really me, stop giving me that look," she chides, then sighs. "I need a ribbon or something for all of this hair."

"We can investigate that when we get to the clothes box," Bran says, and they've nearly reached the compound now. "If you need any help with things, we can always find Abby or Sansa--right, here we are." He stops outside the door and swings Will down easily--and it is easy, light as he is now.

Will smiles her thanks and presses a kiss to Bran's cheek. "Right. Clothes. I feel silly in my pyjamas." She holds out a hand for Cafall to sniff, then scratches behind his ears before heading into the compound, making for the clothes box.

Cafall was never fooled in the first place. He'd know Will, no matter what he looked like. He trots cheerfully alongside them, tail held high.

Bran follows Will down to the clothes box, his hands in his pockets. "How picky are you, about colour and things being...stylish and all that?" You can never tell, when boys turn into girls, just what gets into their heads.

Will shrugs. "It doesn't particularly matter. Just so I look nice, is all." It had taken a bit of effort to not use the word 'pretty'. Not that there's anything wrong with wanting to look pretty, but Will doesn't want Bran to think she's having too much fun as a girl--it's not as bad as she would have thought it would be, but she'll be happy when the weekend ends and she goes back to being a normal, male Will again.

So will Bran, but in the meantime, he thinks he has the supportive boyfriend thing pretty well down.

But when he says, "You'll look nice no matter what," he absolutely means it.

Will blushes faintly and gives Bran a small smile. "Yes, well. Thank you." Of course, it has as much to do with the fact that River's a pretty girl as anything, if you ask Will.

She leads the way to the clothes box--or what's left of it, there are quite a number of articles strewn haphazardly over the side and round the base--and starts picking through it almost delicately, trying to go about this logically. Which means thinking about what his sisters might have worn, had they been kneeling here.

Bran feels a bit useless, actually, and settles onto a stool to watch Will rummage. "Let me know if you want any help," he says, which means he gets to be supportive whilst diminishing the likelihood of actually having to pick through anything. "What shall we do after? Breakfast?"
