So, the Soft Paws have made Anu more destructive than she was before. I'm probably not going to re-apply them when these come off. She's scratching at least five times as much. New scratch pad to the rescue ( Read more... )

Two more claw covers have been attached to the Anu paws. And she's still trying to tear the hell out of the carpet. So... claw covers are keeping her from scratching me and from being repeatedly, accidentally caught in the carpet, but is turning her behavior for the worse ( Read more... )

First attempt at clipping Anu's claws was made last night. It was not entirely successful. Her claws are very sharp, hence my being scared of trying to touch her belly. They also keep catching in the carpet--both on the floor and on the cat trees ( Read more... )

I sprinkled an excessive amount of catnip over the shelves last night. This morning, Anu investigated the high shelves (under her own free will--unless "the catnip made me do it" doesn't count...) for the first time.
