What makes this story even more tragic is that, as Arthur contemplates suicide, somewhere in the castle, Uther's probably givin' it to that troll.
Just something to think about.

(In all seriousness, though - great story, luv. You're able to write about such negative emotions without being melodramatic, which is really hard to do.)

Thank you!
Also, definitely could've done without that mental image. I still can't watch all of that episode without looking away whenever Uther and the Troll are alone together.

I loved how devastated Arthur was about being disinherited. I thought it was really horrible of Uther to make him come to the coronation of the troll in that episode but Uther's never been exactly nice. I liked that Merlin was the one to help him think better of himself. Good job.

Thank you! Arthur looks soo forlorn in the coronation scene in that episode. It's so sad.

Ugh this is terribly sad. I really think this episode of Merlin kind of glossed over how Arthur must feel about going from being the crown prince of Camelot to being disinherited, so this was nice to just help understand how much it must affect his life to go from being in line for the throne to not having a purpose at all. But yes, lovely, and I love that he decides to not kill himself because of Merlin. That's so wonderful. <3

Thank you. It always bothered me that nothing was really made of Arthur's emotions in that episode when it had to be a big deal. I'm glad you liked my interpretation of it!
