Hi-larious.

Dear LKH,

"Being a biology major" isn't part of a person's personality.

Dear Jon,

Until your name is actually on the damn book, shut the fuck up and give Laurell back the microphone.

Yeah, that was what struck me too. I suppose you could say that terrible things happen in her books, but they generally happen to entirely nameless strangers who we don't even see until they've already been killed. The main characters? The worst thing to happen to those are fainting spells, depressions and endless angst...

i find the way she tried to explain that away especially lame, since it's just a few blogs back that she was saying how she (as opposed to other hacks just doing it for the money) deeply felt for her characters and how alive they were for her, blabla, and how she couldn't have really bad stuff happen to them just like that.. >_>

She said it, SO IT MUST BE TRUE!

Was it just my imagination, or did her voice just falter a bit when she had to answer that?

In any case, I totally believe her. Well, I totally believe she believes it. Plenty of people are that deluded about themselves.

And since we're beating old horses, if LKH was a male author with a wife following him around everywhere? There would be hell to pay. lkh_lashouts would look like a fanclub in comparison to the hate he would get.

She also implicitly bashes Gary/Richard in one book dedication after another.

Even in the very latest AB book. "To J,...He's helping me understand that just because someone else thinks you're a monster doesn't mean you are, even if that person says they love you."

In TH, Anita accuses Richard of thinking of her as a monster.

Why does she keep confirming the Gary/Richard connection in her public blogs and book dedications like this, and then deny it?

It's not like we need a secret decoder cock-ring to make the obvious connection.
