why is it that when you're a child of two worlds, instead of feeling like you belong to both, you feel like you don't belong to either? ...i suppose social dysfunction doesn't help my cause. regardless, it would be nice to belong.

i am sitting in the library fantasizing that some terrible natural disaster would strike... an earthquake or meteor that would compromise the structural integrity of the building, and it would crumble around me, crushing me under a thousand tons of twisted steel and concrete and tomes of literature, and i wouldn't have to deal with any of this
