And the sad thing is that the mediums people have moved to - Twitter and Facebook, don't have those slice of life posts or conversations like LJ has always been known for.

I agree with you completely. The other platforms seem so impersonal to me.

I still read LJ every day. I'm about 5 months away from graduating to the Over40 group though.
