It's the biannual check-in! ;D

Grad school goes well! It's kind of super intimidating but I'm getting into the swing of things. :) I love my job. I am playing Quidditch. I have friends! Life is good. :)

Why you gotta go first and steal my answer?? Oh, it's okay, I have another one: Your enthusiasm! You make me excited about things by being excited about them! Also I can use all my excited-face emoticons, exclamation points, and repeated letters around you and you don't think it's weird. :D

Earliest memory of reading is probably sitting on the couch and reading a book with my mom. It had a forest and green things in it.

I remember when I was little and went to the library I was FASCINATED by these giant styrofoam sculptures of snoopy and the gang. I poked at them. A lot >.>

Also I would pull lots and lots of books off the shelves. >.>

It was during the great SpecOps migration of...'05...lol, when everyone was coming over to LJ and so did we. :)

But more specifically, I like how I can talk to you about anything and it's not awkward. Or not very. ;)

My job is as an "Editorial Apprentice" at this institute that publishes a scholarly journal and books. So I check citations and footnotes and do a little proofreading. :D

I am (currently) studying public history, specifically memory of the American revolution, especially in early public schools. I am looking at how the curricula helped form an American national identity.

On brooms, of course! ;D No, but seriously. You have a broom between your legs that you have to hold onto the whole time. There's six people throwing a deflated volleyball around, four people throwing dodgeballs at them, two people guarding the hoops (which can be scored in from either side), and two people chasing a tennis ball in a sock attached to yet another person's waistband. It's awesome. :D

This is a few years old and the sport has evolved a little since then (idek what's up with the capes), but it gives a pretty good basic rundown and a good idea of what a game looks like. :) They neglect to mention beaters (which is what I am) but you can see the weatherman get beat at one point (though technically face shots are illegal).

Hmm, I don't know what that is. I think though we were in SGA communities chatting about McKay and David Hewlett from memory. :)

3) Shallow is fine! After all, in my honest opinion I do have great taste in TV/movie men!! (uses another fine icon) :D

4) Yeah, I used to RPG as Kavanagh. He was awesome fun!

The blue skies! We have the best blue skies... and big National Parks full of gum trees and loads of open space. They're the things I miss when I travel.
