What a great story! Fiction inspires and helps turn people into real life heroes. Nic is a very courageous boy! I knew the M. Night movie was good for something. ;-) Here's hoping Nic does get to see more TLA as he grows up healthier and happier.

I was really enjoying the science writing with the very sympathetic human story at its core when I was got all OMG AANG!!! If nothing else, at least the movie gave the characters and story a wider exposure, for instance to kids like Nic. For that I can forgive Shyamalan. :D Thanks to his efforts, soon, very soon young Mr. Volker will be one of ussss... yesss...
