They're an UP institution. The crust is what I've been working on -- it's not a regular pie crust, which I've always done and known that it wasn't quite right. This time I was close but I need to add more flour next time. And cut the potatoes and rutabaga up a little smaller.

Lots of folk leave out the rutabaga. If you go into a UP pasty shop and place an order, they'll ask you "With or without?"
