Something I wrote this morning -- not sure where I'm going.
When the Taime lived, when the Grandmothers still breathed, we walked on the land eye to eye; the buffalo thundered on the land and in our veins. But the Taime died and the Grandmothers became just a bundle of sticks and rags. Now we dance in memory but our dance has no power
