Here are the news stories and news coverage I've collected related to Strikethrough and Boldthrough. I know I'm missing some, so if you know of more, please comment with links. Thanks!

Ok, what about legendary user links and sum-ups?

-aria218's aggregation of all the staff and volunteer replies to the one lj_biz post

-one of the isis' LJ PR mistakes compared to the Exxon Valdez write-up

-numerous helpful sum-ups of which journals were deleted in strikethrough and boldthrough

-oh, I WISH we had big wolf bitch's South Park sum-up

-Ponderosa121's GJ explaining why she was deleted and how she felt about it

That sounds like a great idea for your first post! :) As long as the post itself is worded in a neutral way, it would be great to have summaries and links all in one place.

I have many of those saved in my comment replies somewhere. Will look for them!

I just wasn't sure if you wanted to keep it from only official sources or if editorials and the like were ok, too.

We've had some discussions about that, and our decision is that as long as the posts in this community are worded in a neutral way and the information is presented in a factual manner (no 'LJ sucks because' stuff - the facts, I believe, speak for themselves) then opinion pieces and such can be linked here. Just don't link to your own opinion pieces, and reference whatever you can with links to factual sources. You can use our posts as a guide. And I'm happy to answer any questions you have. :)

We do really need other people to start posting if this community is going to be a success. Two people can only do so much, though I do have more ideas for posts that will slowly go up over the next couple of weeks! Hopefully by then more people will start posting.

That's a good idea, especially considering there's a Wikipedia user who's been deleting any Boldthrough info that goes up, so at least one Wiki can be up-to-date. We do have an index post to help make things easier to search through, and we're setting up backups on IJ and GJ.

Also, how would you suggest I mirror this information - just copy and paste into the main wiki page? I'm not very familiar with wikis. Thanks. :)

Written by the same person who wrote the "LiveJournal users fight erotic 'Harry Potter' deletions" from CNet (August 6, 2007), is "LiveJournal responds to 'Harry Potter' deletions" (August 8, 2007).
