In the category voting thing, I noticed last year someone posted the Gintama thread in a Gintama comm for people to vote. Is this still allowed?

This isn't completely related, but would you consider doing Video Game Iconmakers Awards? I know there was one last year by someone else, but it didn't get much publicity.

I've actually talked to rabanastre about it and I think the consensus was that we'd do the awards at the same time so that hers get the same (ish) amount of publicity as ours. The only thing is, the VG awards don't have to do series noms so hers will start next month, I think.

Question!

For your nomination to count, you will have to have 3 people comment to your nomination saying that they second, third, and fourth your nomination.

So will comments of, say, 'Yes' or 'Signed!' or whatever not count towards this?

They still count. :O You don't actually have to say "second" and whatever, it's just a suggestion. XD

Would it be alright to send in icon samples that haven't been posted in my icon journal yet?

That's perfectly fine! You can send whatever you like. If it's an icon you don't want anyone to take yet, be sure that you specify so we can mark it accordingly. :3
