Last bullet point already covers that --

"If you have turned on the Mutual Friends option, only 500 of those friends will be checked for Mutual status. Any others will be listed under Also Friend of and unbolded, regardless of whether they are on your own Friends list."

Not exactly... it doesn't say which 500 friends. ;)

*Is* it the first 500 friends, though? I know that it's a "pull friends, stop at 500, compare for mutual friends" thing, but I don't know that it's based on friending order. Might be based on userid, but since I don't think LJ itself remembers friending dates/orders...

yeah, I'm pretty certain that it's not by 'date I added them' -- I think this came up in some other topic a few months back.
