So today we're finally getting a chance to catch up with most of the stuff that we've done since December. There's a lot of stuff going out in this release. About half of the stuff that's changing is purely backend changes, so if all goes well they won't be user-visible at all; we've gone over everything very carefully, and so we're hoping for a ( Read more... )

Enforcing restrictions on table HTML in entries and comments, for basic sanity checks on the HTML (eg, no opening "tr" tags without an open table.)

OMG. Thank you thank you thank you! I assume this includes proper nesting of all tags and no unclosed tags at all.

Proper nesting, yes. We still allow through tables that have unclosed tr/tds (our way of closing them was actually causing a problem in nearly every situation I've seen, and browsers can handle unclosed td/tr tags). But other invalid stuff will be stripped right out.

The "create an account" goldish box where Frank is sitting would freak out if the width of the contents was over 31 characters wide, which was needed for translations but not for the English. CSS weirdness. *g*

Ah! That must be a different bug than I was thinking of.

Used to be that sometimes when you logged out, the redirect would take you to a page that was not in english. The same description applies!
