Expressive updates

Aug 31, 2006 18:18

We're glad you've given Expressive so much love. <3
There were some bugs that we didn't catch before the release, but most of those should be fixed now, and we're working on the ones that aren't. Thanks for helping us find them, and for letting us know.

We've also implemented a few things of the things that you have asked for:

hide/show ( Read more... )

layout, control, expressive

I like that I can have a component with my tags list, but when y'all implemented it, it would have been nice if you didn't set it so that it just changed what we have. I don't know if anyone else had that problem, but when I logged on, there they were.

I need to change my layout so I can use them. :)

Thank you!!

I could be coherent and reflective. Or I could give you my honest response.

...honesty is the best policy.

Sticky post: Eeeee!

I must say I really do like the sticky post. Very useful! However... I made a sticky post, yet I can't see a comment page? Is that normal? Because I was going to have a friends only page as the sticky post, but if you can't comment to a sticky post, that doesn't really work for me.

Yes.. currently it's just text placed into the layout template. It doesn't have a page of its own or support comments. Yet.

Ah, okay. Thanks. I was hoping it wasn't just a glitch.

There currently isn't an option to select colors using the wizard like Component does, but you can still change the colors by overriding the CSS.

Or you use a theme that doesn't have a lot of white? :/

Unfortunately, it takes some figuring out to find which bits of css control which elements. For instance, I can't for the life of me get the meta links (comment, edit, tag etc.) at the bottom of each entry to change colour, but I'm sure I've found and overridden the required css.

you could always go to your journal, right click, and view source, then search for the elements you want to modify, that'll give you the name for that component. just takes some CTRL-F-ing =)

I use component and HATE the page summary component that got stuck on there, but when I went into customize to get rid of the unwanted page summary and tags components, it took away my banner. So....great. Thanks. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
