So, after my success the other day wrestling WP-OpenID into the ground, I thought it was about time to revisit another one of my LJ-to-WP integration plugins, Also LJ Avatar.

This plugin’s idea is great but I’ve always been a bit bleh on the specifics; particularly, I don’t like the way users have to format their names as username@server-without-

Yeah, the latest ala has been throwing some odd errors with wget, when the target server doesn't cooperate. It also seems not to like when someone enters both a usefully formatted name and a matching url, cranky thing. This sounds lovely.

(And also gets around having to array the bloody thing for with and without .com, which I am all in favor of.)
