how about a panel on hackers and their issues with socialization and person to person interaction, and how online culture reflects into real life environments? you can safely incorporate gender issues into it without being mysogynist or feminist or biased in any other way, while addressing a wide range of topics involving those issues. it seems like a more balanced approach to me.

That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard proposed. You should drink bleach. That panel was a travesty, attempting to further it in any way shape or form is a mockery of both 2600 (which I fully support!) and women (which I support in private but publicly admonish).
